In an incredible WIN for the LGBTQ community and ALL Americans, the U.S. House of Representatives has just abandoned its critical vote on the AHCA "Trumpcare" proposal. Trumpcare is effectively dead this year.
24 million Americans who stood to lose their healthcare can breathe a sigh of relief. After that, nothing is certain -- so we need to make sure that our representatives like Miami's own Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen continue to oppose any attempt to repeal the Affordable Care Act.
Thank Rep. Ros-Lehtinen for her leadership in pledging to vote NO on Trumpcare. Click here to add your name >>>
Twice in the last two weeks, in both Washington, DC and Miami, Rep. Ros-Lehtinen gave SAVE supporters the opportunity to directly express their concerns to her. She went to great lengths to hear out her constituents, and today shows that champions like her are critical in the fight to defend LGBTQ equality.
On behalf of the local LGBTQ community, we extend our thanks to Rep. Ros-Lehtinen and her colleagues in the House from South Florida who refused to allow 24 million Americans to go without healthcare.
We also extend our thanks to the dozens of SAVE supporters who called their Congresspeople when we asked -- proving after a difficult election cycle that democracy is still alive in America.
Establishing relationships and engaging in dialogue with key decision makers is the work that will secure the future LGBTQ Americans deserve -- and YOUR small gifts fund it.
Will you give $25, $100 or whatever you can so we can continue to do this critical work on behalf of equality? Click here >>>
Thank you again for everything you've done to protect LGBTQ and all Americans' healthcare. I really mean it. Nothing we do would be possible without dedicated activists like you. Thank you for your support.
