Stop the haters!

Contact Commissioners Jose 'Pepe' Diaz and Jean Monestime! Ask them to support the proposal the proposal to add trans-inclusive language to the countywide Human Rights Ordinance and that it isn't about bathrooms, but about extending human rights to everyone.

When you call the commissioners, read this:

Hi, my name is (SAY YOUR NAME) and I am a Miami-Dade voter. I'm calling in support of the trans-inclusive ordinance that would protect members of the trans community in employment, housing, and public accommodations. Please be aware that when you discriminate against any of us, you discriminate against all of us. Thank you.

If the person on the line asks about bathrooms, or the "bathroom issue":

This proposal isn't about bathrooms. It's about extending human rights to everyone. Transgender people are already using bathrooms. They go to the bathroom just like you and me.

If the person on the line asks about infringing on others' rights:

Are you asking about the rights of others to discriminate? Nobody should have the right to discriminate.

Remember to be kind and courteous on the phone. The commissioners' contact information is below:
