Research Internship
Ideal for current master’s or doctoral students—or recent graduates—in political science, psychology, sociology, public policy, or related fields. Research interns support SAVE’s mission through:

Conducting literature reviews to inform LGBTQ+ policy recommendations

Analyzing the Municipal Equality Index (MEI) across 65 municipalities in Miami-Dade and Broward counties

Drafting research briefs and public-facing summaries

Contributing to the SAVE History Project and the “Story Booth” initiative

Monitoring legislation and engaging in deep canvassing
-
Supporting data-driven outreach and database management
This position is compensated and part-time, offering valuable experience in applied policy research and data-informed advocacy.

Advocacy & Outreach Internship
Open to current undergraduate students or recent graduates passionate about LGBTQ+ rights and grassroots activism. Advocacy interns play a key role in community engagement by:

Gathering petition signatures and conducting deep canvassing

Organizing advocacy events, phone banks, and legislative outreach

Assisting constituents in connecting with elected officials

Supporting advocacy trips and digitization of the SAVE History Project

Analyzing MEI data to identify outreach priorities

Advancing the “Story Booth” initiative to preserve LGBTQ+ community narratives
This is a paid, part-time role (15-20 hours) designed to build real-world organizing and advocacy skills.
