A Guide to Pride

This guide was written and developed by doctoral trainees in clinical psychology, the authors are all a part of the graduate student organization Psychologists Recognizing Intersectionality, Diversity, and Equity (PRIDE), with support from the Social and Clinical Psychology Lab, as a resource for individuals seeking foundational, accessible information about LGBTQ+ communities, identities, and the social realities that continue to shape their lives. Created by emerging clinicians and advocates, this manual reflects a shared belief that greater understanding is an important step toward building safer, more affirming communities. We hope it serves as a welcoming starting point for learning, reflection, and action. We are grateful to SAVE for generously hosting this manual as part of its broader commitment to protecting and supporting LGBTQ+ people in Florida, making it a meaningful home for a resource like this.
